Trip Details -

I visited Dandeli almost three times. Whenever I go there it always looks new to me. Dandeli is one of my favorite holiday destinations. The first time we went to Dandeli by train, traveling by train is good but it was a very long journey. After reaching the place we booked auto around 2000 rupees, which was very high. And one vital point to note is Dandeli is not commercialized, so every time we faced a connectivity issue.

The second and third time we went by Car. One thing we never changed in Dandeli is our stay (Hornbill Resort). We always stayed in Hornbill resort only. Food quality and stay are superb. You will get a variety of foods and fresh fruits.

In hornbill resort, you will get a variety of rooms - like a treehouse, a stone house, a tent house, even you can do camping as well.

The Resort is surrounded by trees. On one side of the resort, there is the Kali river, and Dandeli itself is in the dense forest.

All the activities provided by the Hornbill organization team. So nothing to worry about. Hornbill team will provide you many activities like river rafting, kayaking, and a natural jacuzzi.

For a jungle safari, you have to go by own. You have to purchase a ticket from the government office.

Point to note-

As Dandeli is the forest, you can see a variety of worms and animals.

1)Never forgot to take trekking shoes.

2)Always keep salt or body spray with you, it will help to get rid of the leech. Whenever you see leech in your body, don't panic just put a small amount of salt or do spray, it will leave your body.

3)Don't walk alone outside of the resort, might be you can see boar, which is very dangerous.

Bharatpur Beach

It's a nice beach for water sport activities almost all the water sports are here except para sailing glass bottom ride is awesome jet ski and banana peel ride all are nice

Not visited due to lack of timing -

1) In Port Blair the nearest Beach, Corbyn's Cove. The Crescent-shaped coconut palm fringed Corbyn's      Cove ideal for swimming & bathing. The coastal drive to this beach is awesome.
2) Ross island -
This amazing island, just 10 minutes by speedboat from Aberdeen Jetty at Port Blair, takes you back in time the moment you step on & are welcomed by the Japanese Bunker. The beach is badly damaged during the Tsunami along with almost half of this island which bore the brunt of the Tsunami and saved Port Blair city.
